MousekeTube is a reusable mouse trapping system that really works. We found putting a trap on a stick and in a tube makes a more effective and safer mouse trapping system. Our MousekeTube system currently ships with Victor POWER-KILL mouse traps, because after testing several other brands we found these traps to be the most durable and the most deadly. Other traps resulted in "Near Kills" which still happen, but a lot less often with the Victor POWER-Kill traps than with other brands we tried. The POWER-KILL traps allow mice to enter the trap from two directions, making it the best trap to put in a tube. NOTE: Always use gloves when checking and emptying traps. Mice can carry tics, fleas and diseases.
It's all in the tube, it's a mouse trapping system that uses tubes with "safety end caps" to keep the traps where mice can easily go but pets, kids and wildlife cannot easily access. The tubes are placed at the base of your inside walls, like behind your sofa or TV stand, and also outside at the base of your home or shop foundation. For best results place the tubes without safety end caps, however if you want to add extra protection and make access to the traps more restrictive we've made special MouskeTube end caps with mouse sized holes only mice and other very small animals or insects can get into. We recommend adding bait to the traps when using the safety end caps, it makes the tube smell like a little mouse deli. It's a grizzly business friend, this war on mice, so we tray to find humor where we can. Happy trapping! NOTE: Always use gloves when checking and emptying traps. Mice can carry tics, fleas and diseases.
Yes the Victor POWER-KILL mouse traps we use in our system are very durable and reusable. We've caught dozens of mice (one at a time) with the same trap.
We've tried several mousetrap brands and models. The Victor POWER-KILL mouse trap we are currently using in our MousekeTube systems is the best mousetrap on the market in our opinion. It is a well made top quality trap and we have caught dozens of mice in the same traps. The Victor POWER-KILL mouse trap is designed in a way that allows mice to pass through the trap from two directions, this makes it the perfect trap to put into a tube and we have had great success with this method. After a while if you are catching a lot of mice in the same traps you may want to replace some of your traps. They can get kind of gross, especially if you do not check them often enough. You can choose to add 4 additional Victor POWER-KILL mouse traps with 4 sticks to your MousekeTube system order for only $19.95. The traps alone retail for up to $5.99 each.
Our trap on stick design makes it easy to slide the stick out of the tube and hold the (full) trap over a garbage container and release the trap, the dead mouse will fall out. Then reset your trap(s) and replace the trap-stick back into the tub. It is really easy and the sturdy stick really helps to make it less gross because it is easier to hold on to, easier to check and control and easier to place into a tube, attic, or crawl space.
PLEASE NOTE: Check mouse traps often, daily is best, fresh kills are easier to dispose of and a lot less smelly. Always wear gloves when checking traps. Like we say, Mouse trapping, "It's a grizzly business" but it must be done. You can win back your home, don't give up, get MousekeTube.
MousekeTube is made to use in your home, RV, boat, shop or garage. Anywhere there are mice. MousekeTube helps keep the messy business of mouse trapping contained. Mice, mouse traps, and bait are all contained inside a tube, and the traps are on sticks which makes it easy to check and empty the mouse traps.
We've combined "Double trouble" trapping with our "Stick in Tube" design. We put two traps, facing opposite directions, on one stick inside each tube. This mouse trapping system was the only method that was able to finally control our mouse problem, while keeping our pets away from the traps. So we decided to share it with the world.
Our MousekeTube system comes with two tubes and a pair of custom manufactured safety end caps for each tub. The tubes are different, one tube is the 24.5" long 4" round paper tube, and nested within it for shipping is a brown rectangular 23.5" long 2" x 3" vinyl downspout section. You also get two sturdy sticks with two traps attached to each stick to slide into the tubes. When you receive the system you separate the parts and have two tubes with safety end caps and a stick with two traps for each tube...
We've found this "Double Trouble" trapping method is very effective especially when the traps are lined up on a stick inside a tube. You can also just use traps on the sticks to slide the traps back into hard to reach places that only mice can go, the trap being on a stick also makes it easier to pull the trap out to check it and empty it.
You can slide the sticks into places pets and kids cannot get to, like tight spots behind furniture, or in attics and crawl spaces. That's why we offer the option of adding 4 traps and 4 additional sticks to your MousekeTube system. The more traps you place in different places around your property the better.
If you are being invaded, you have no choice but to declare war, or give your house up to the mice. We never wanted to be the enemy of mice. Mice are cute and seem harmless, but uncontrolled they will get everywhere and into everything. They got into our RV, house, cars, garage and workshops. We were left with two choices, move or fight.
If you are at a point where you are ready to get serious about your do-it-yourself mouse extermination program and fight the invading hordes, then you've come to the right place.
Don't mess around, it is time to launch a full D-Day style assault and purchase as many MousekeTube systems as you can afford. The average price for extermination services is $400-$600 per year so purchasing, lets say, four MousekeTube systems for under $200 is actually a great investment. The more traps and tubes the better. Place tubes at the base of your foundation outside, one tube on each outside wall of the house is best, you'll be surprised how many mice you will catch. Also place tubes in any room you have seen or suspect mice to be, look for droppings, chewed wire and chew holes, place the tubes at the base of the walls behind furniture, TV stand, sofa or bed.
If you choose to purchase extra traps and sticks with your MousekeTube system then you can place the 4 extra POWER-KILL traps on the additional sticks in your crawl space and attic space, places that kids and pets can't go, place where you don't need the tubes. The traps on sturdy sticks make it easier to put the traps into those places and to pull them out to check and empty. NOTE: Always use gloves when checking and emptying traps. Mice can carry tics, fleas and diseases.
Our "Stick in Tube" design makes it easier to pull the traps out of the tube to check and empty the traps. Also, having the trap contained in a tube on a stick also contains any mess made by the bait, or the mice being trapped. It is so much less icky to pick up the tube and carry it to the trash where you can pull the trap out on the stick, and empty the trap. NOTE: Always use gloves when checking and emptying traps. Mice can carry tics, fleas and diseases.
MousekeTube was created by US Navy veteran, Jeff Catlin, after he moved to a country home in NE Oregon and found his property was overrun with mice. After two years of trying different methods Jeff discovered that putting a trap on a sturdy stick in a tube was the best way to trap mice inside and outside the house, garage and workshop. Jeff owns and operates MousekeTube.
Mice got into our RV, house, boat, garage and workshops.
Believe me, we were reluctant to trap outside our house at the base of the foundation, but that was the only way we were able to control the number of mice getting into our house, RV, cars, garage...unbelievably we have caught well over 200 mice on our property and counting. We do not like having to kill so many mice, it is grizzly business, however we must, or give our house over to the rodents and move.
This is why we started MousekeTube.com, to help other people who have a terrible mouse problem but don't want to use poisons and want to keep the traps away from pets and kids. The reality is many mice will not even eat the poison bait anyway. We also have four (Lazy) cats and a dog that we don't want getting near the traps, or dead mice, and we definitely don't want them to eat poison, or to eat poisoned mice. That's why traps on a stick, with bait in a tube is the best trapping system. It's cleaner, easier and safer. Bait, or no bait! We've caught mice both ways. Happy trapping!
No, you don't need to use bait, but adding bait can certainly help. Mice will naturally run into the tubes that are placed at the base of your inside walls and outside foundations. If you are placing traps on sticks without tubes then you want to use bait to draw the mice in.
Adding bait to the traps in the tubes may attract more mice but we have found bait is not always required. If you have enough mice running around placing the tubes at the base of your inside walls and foundation outside will catch mice. It is important to place traps outside and inside as the mice will go outside to look for food and water and if you are not trapping outside you are just going to keep trapping a steady flow of mice as they stream into your home to replace the mice you trapped.
We've had great success with peanut butter cookie dough around here, also straight up peanut butter. Some folks recommend gluing a dog kibble to the mouse traps bait cup. Your results may vary. The Victor POWER-KILL mouse traps we are using in our systems have a nice little bait cup and using a sticky bait like cookie dough is less messy and makes the tubes smell like little mouse bakeries...
We've also had good success trapping without bait when placing MousekeTube tubes along the base of walls in high mouse traffic areas and along the base of the outside foundation. We prefer not to use bait outside because we only want to trap mice that are casing out our house... Good luck and happy trapping!
The MousekeTube System comes with: one 23.5" long brown standard 2"x3" rectangular downspout tube section and one 24.5" long 4" round heavy duty paper tube, 4 Victor POWER-KILL mouse traps mounted on two sturdy sticks, and 12 extra zip ties. Both tubes come with a set of safety end caps that have mouse sized holes in them to add an extra level of safety. To recap, the Basic MousekeTube System includes: 4 safety end caps, 2 tubes, 2 sturdy sticks, 4 Victor POWER-KILL traps, and 12 zip-ties. NOTE: The zip-ties are how the traps are secured to the sturdy sticks.
You can choose to purchase 4 additional traps with 4 additional sturdy sticks with each MousekeTube system you order for only $19.95. These extra sturdy sticks and POWER-KILL mouse traps can be used as replacement parts and/or the traps on sticks can be placed in tight spots where you don't need tubes to protect the traps, such as your crawl space or inside your attic. The trap on sturdy stick design makes the traps easier to set, check and empty.
Currently MousekeTube Systems are only available from our online shop, or at events.

After moving to a country home, we found our property was overrun with mice. We didn't want to go to war with the cute little critters, but after they got into our cars, RV, garage, workshops, house walls and attic, we had no choice but to declare war on all mice. MousekeTube was what finally helped us win the war. Let us help you do the same.
It took two years of trying different mouse traps and mouse trapping methods to develop MousekeTube. It's not a trap, it's a system! A system that used tubes to direct the mice into the traps. The MousekeTube trapping system was also designed to be safer for our pets, kids and wildlife. The unique "Stick in Tube" design directs mice straight into the traps, it contains the mess of bait and trapped mice, and helps prevent kids, pets and wildlife from getting to the traps.
The sturdy stick in tube system also makes it easier to check and empty the traps. This results in a safer, easier to use, and more effective system. A better poison free way to control the mice.
